Simple Salisbury Steak Recipe
Ingredients
For the patties
- 500 g ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder
For the gravy
- 1 onion, sliced
- Mushrooms (optional)
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- Mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, and seasonings.
- Shape into oval patties.
- Brown patties in a skillet, then remove.
- Cook onions and mushrooms in the same pan.
- Stir in flour, then slowly add broth.
- Add a little Worcestershire sauce and simmer until thickened.
- Return patties to the pan and cook until done.
