How to remove the dark circle around the faucets

If you mean the dark ring around a bathroom or kitchen faucet, it’s usually caused by limescale, soap scum, mold, or mineral deposits.

Try these methods:

  1. White vinegar (best for limescale)
    • Soak a cloth or paper towel in white vinegar.
    • Wrap it around the base of the faucet for 30–60 minutes.
    • Scrub gently with an old toothbrush.
    • Rinse and dry.
  2. Baking soda paste
    • Mix baking soda with a little water.
    • Apply the paste to the dark ring.
    • Let it sit for 10–15 minutes.
    • Scrub gently, then rinse.
  3. For mold or mildew
    • Mix 1 part household bleach with 10 parts water, or use a bathroom mold cleaner.
    • Apply for a few minutes, scrub, then rinse thoroughly.
    • Ensure the area is well ventilated and never mix bleach with vinegar or other cleaners.

If the dark ring doesn’t come off, it may be permanent staining or corrosion of the faucet finish rather than dirt.
