Simple Old-Fashioned Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 large cabbage
- 500 g ground beef or beef/pork mix
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder
- Tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
Basic steps
- Boil the cabbage briefly and peel off soft leaves.
- Mix meat, rice, onion, egg, and seasonings.
- Place filling in each leaf and roll tightly.
- Arrange in a pot and cover with tomato sauce.
- Simmer gently for about 1–1½ hours until tender.
