Ham in a Crock-Pot

Crock-Pot Ham 🍖 (slow cooker glazed ham)

A Crock-Pot ham is one of the easiest ways to get a juicy, tender, flavorful main dish with almost no effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked ham (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice or apple juice
  • 1–2 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Whole cloves (optional, for studding)

How to cook it

  1. Place the ham in the Crock-Pot (cut side down if possible).
  2. Pour pineapple juice or apple juice over the ham.
  3. Rub brown sugar over the top and sides.
  4. Drizzle honey or maple syrup on top.
  5. Cover and cook:
    • LOW: 4–6 hours
    • HIGH: 2–3 hours
  6. Baste occasionally with the juices if you can.
  7. Optional: Glaze it under the broiler for 3–5 minutes for a caramelized finish.

Tips for best results

  • Use a fully cooked ham (you’re just reheating and flavoring it).
  • Don’t overcook—ham can dry out if left too long.
  • Add pineapple slices for extra sweetness and presentation 🍍
  • Leftovers are great for sandwiches, fried rice, or omelets.

If you want, I can also give:

  • a cola-glazed ham version
  • a garlic butter savory ham
  • or what to serve with it for a full meal plan 👍
