Sloppy Joe (classic American sandwich) 🍔
Ingredients
- 500 g ground beef (or minced meat)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2–3 garlic cloves (optional)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1–2 tbsp tomato paste or tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mustard (optional)
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp oil
- Burger buns
How to make it
- Heat oil in a pan and cook onions until soft.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in garlic (if using), ketchup, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer 5–10 minutes until thick and saucy.
- Spoon generously onto toasted buns.
