🥩 Slow Cooker Cube Steak and Gravy
A simple, tender “set-it-and-forget-it” comfort meal where cube steak cooks low and slow until it’s melt-in-your-mouth soft in rich brown gravy.
🧾 Ingredients
- 4–6 cube steaks
- 1 packet onion soup mix (or 1 chopped onion + seasoning)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional but recommended)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 2–3 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

- Optional sear (for extra flavor)
- Lightly brown cube steaks in a pan for 1–2 minutes per side.
- Layer in slow cooker
- Place cube steaks at the bottom.
- Sprinkle onion soup mix (or onions + seasoning).
- Make the gravy
- In a bowl, mix:
- cream of mushroom soup
- beef broth
- Worcestershire sauce
- Pour over steaks.
- In a bowl, mix:
- Cook
- Low: 6–8 hours
- High: 3–4 hours
- Cook until steak is tender and easy to cut.
- Thicken gravy (optional)
- Mix cornstarch with a little water.
- Stir into slow cooker during the last 30 minutes.
