Pan-fried halloumi

Pan-Fried Halloumi

Pan-fried halloumi is crispy outside, soft inside, and takes only a few minutes.

Ingredients

  • 225 g halloumi cheese
  • 1 tsp olive oil (optional)
  • Black pepper
  • Lemon wedges or honey for serving

Instructions

  1. Slice the halloumi into pieces about 1 cm thick.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  3. Add a tiny bit of oil if needed.
  4. Cook halloumi for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.

Serving Ideas

  • With salad and olives
  • In wraps or sandwiches
  • Drizzled with honey and chili flakes
  • With grilled vegetables

Tips

  • Don’t add salt — halloumi is already salty.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture.
  • You can also grill or air-fry it.
