That’s a rich, restaurant-style comfort dish: blackened steak and shrimp served over creamy Alfredo pasta.
🥩🍤 Blackened Steak & Shrimp Alfredo
🧾 Ingredients
For the steak & shrimp
- 2 steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or strip steak)
- 250g (½ lb) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp blackened seasoning or Cajun seasoning
For the pasta
- 300g fettuccine or linguine
- Salted water for boiling
For the Alfredo sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Cook the pasta
Boil pasta until al dente. Reserve a little pasta water, then drain.
2. Season and cook the steak
Rub steaks with oil and blackened seasoning. Sear in a hot skillet to your preferred doneness. Rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice.
3. Cook the shrimp
Season shrimp and cook in the same skillet for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
4. Make the Alfredo sauce
- Melt butter in a pan.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Stir in cream and simmer gently.
- Add Parmesan and whisk until smooth.
- Season with pepper and paprika.
5. Combine
Toss pasta in the Alfredo sauce. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.
6. Serve
Plate the pasta and top with sliced steak and shrimp. Finish with extra Parmesan and parsley.
🔥 Tips
- Let the steak rest before slicing to keep it juicy.
- Freshly grated Parmesan gives the smoothest sauce.
- Use a very hot skillet for the best blackened crust.
- Add mushrooms or spinach if you want vegetables.
🍽️ Why it works
The spicy blackened seasoning balances the rich Alfredo sauce, while the steak and shrimp give you the best of both worlds—surf and turf over creamy pasta. 😋🍝🥩🍤
