Ingredients

  • 16 oz (450 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (8 oz / 225 g) crushed pineapple, very well drained
  • 1/2 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts, divided
  • Optional: 1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the drained pineapple dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Stir in the pineapple, green onions, seasoned salt, and 1/2 cup of the chopped nuts.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  5. Shape the mixture into a ball using clean hands or plastic wrap.
  6. Roll the cheeseball in the remaining 1/2 cup chopped nuts until fully coated.
  7. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes before serving.
