🍣 Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites
These salmon bites are crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated in a creamy, sweet-spicy “Bang Bang” sauce.
🧾 Ingredients
For the salmon:
- 500 g (1 lb) salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into bite-size cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Bang Bang sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2–3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- 1 tsp lime juice
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Season the salmon
Pat the salmon dry and toss with oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Cook until crispy
Air fryer:
- 200°C (400°F)
- 7–10 minutes, shaking halfway through
Oven:
- 220°C (425°F)
- 10–12 minutes on a lined baking tray
Skillet:
- Cook in a lightly oiled pan over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side.
3. Make the sauce
Whisk together:
- mayonnaise
- sweet chili sauce
- sriracha
- honey
- lime juice
until smooth.
4. Finish
Either:
- Toss the salmon bites in the sauce, or
- Serve the sauce on the side for dipping.

🧠 Tips
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer or pan.
- Dry salmon crisps better than wet salmon.
- Add chopped green onions or sesame seeds for garnish.
Nutrition note
Salmon is rich in protein and omega-3 fats, which are associated with heart health. The Bang Bang sauce adds most of the sweetness and calories, so you can lighten it by using part Greek yogurt in place of some mayonnaise.
