Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops

Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops is a rich seafood dish featuring tender lobster and seared scallops coated in a flavorful garlic-butter sauce.

Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

  • 2 lobster tails
  • 8–12 sea scallops
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the lobster

  • Cut the lobster shell down the center and lift the meat slightly above the shell.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

2. Cook the lobster

  • Broil or bake at 220°C (425°F) for about 8–12 minutes, depending on size, until the meat is opaque.

3. Sear the scallops

  • Pat scallops completely dry.
  • Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear scallops for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown.

4. Make the garlic butter sauce

  • Reduce heat to medium.
  • Add butter to the skillet.
  • Stir in garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add lemon juice and zest.

5. Finish

  • Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the lobster and scallops.
  • Garnish with parsley.

  • Crusty bread for soaking up the sauce

Tips

  • Dry scallops thoroughly before cooking to get a good sear.
