🍗 Crispy Fried Chicken Wings

🧾 Ingredients
- 1 kg (2 lbs) chicken wings
- 1 cup buttermilk (or regular milk)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Coating:
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼–½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
For frying:
- Vegetable or canola oil

1. Marinate the wings
- Mix wings with buttermilk, salt, and pepper.
- Let sit for at least 30 minutes (or refrigerate for a few hours).
2. Prepare the coating
- Combine flour, cornstarch, and seasonings in a large bowl.
3. Coat the wings
- Remove wings from the marinade.
- Dredge thoroughly in the flour mixture.
- For extra crunch, dip back into the buttermilk and coat a second time.
4. Fry
- Heat oil to 175°C (350°F).
- Fry wings in batches for 8–12 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Avoid overcrowding the pot.
5. Drain
- Place on a wire rack or paper towels for a few minutes before serving.
