Hibachi Chicken & Shrimp Fried Rice

Here’s a solid hibachi-style Chicken & Shrimp Fried Rice you can make at home—very close to what you’d get at Japanese steakhouses.

🍚 Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked rice (cold, day-old works best)
  • 1 chicken breast (diced)
  • 10–12 shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 2–3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn optional)
  • 2–3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions, sesame seeds

🔥 Chicken & Shrimp

  1. Heat oil in a pan or wok.
  2. Cook chicken with salt & pepper until done.
  3. In the same pan, cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink.
  4. Set both aside.

🍳 Fried Rice

  1. Add butter to the pan.
  2. Scramble eggs quickly, then mix them in.
  3. Add garlic + vegetables and stir-fry 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add cold rice and break it apart.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and toss well.

🍤 Combine

  • Add cooked chicken and shrimp back in.
  • Stir-fry everything together for 2–3 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning (soy sauce, salt, pepper).

🌟 Final touch

Top with green onions or a little sesame oil for extra hibachi flavor.

If you want, I can also show you the restaurant-style yum yum sauce that goes with it—it takes it to the next level.
